WHAT IS REVERSE OSMOSIS?

In many literatures the name technique "Reverse Osmosis", which is abbreviated as R/O, is one of the fastest developing water purification techniques of today.

Those, who stay distant to the Reverse Osmosis system, which has been used in the world for 30 years, with the idea that it is a new and expensive technology, cause losses to their business enterprises/managements.
Today the Reverse Osmosis system is characterized as the excellent mineral filter for water. The R/O system, which is a technology that mechanically separates the minerals (ions) in water at a ratio of 99% just by water pressure, has found a great application area in our country.

The principle of reverse osmosis, which is applied to waters (sea water, well waters with high conductivity, etc) where classical separation systems are insufficient, does water purification with very high quality. The working principle of Reverse Osmosis: water coming to the purification device passes through 1 pre-purification unit consisting of 1 active carbon filter and 1 unit of fibrous (polypropylene) filter with a filter degree of 5-60 microns. The pressure of the water passing through pre-purification (10-15 Bar, if the water is salty 70 Bar) is amplified by a pressurizing pump and it diffuses through the membrane consisting of semi-permeable membranes (with holes smaller than 2.000.000 per 1 mm2). While the water passes through the membrane the unwanted and harmful organic and inorganic materials are separated.

At the end of this purification water can be drank healthily.

The minerals found in water are mineral salts which are named as inorganic minerals. Existence of inorganic minerals in excess causes negativeness such as bad taste, salty taste.
